Paragraphs - Keep them short!
Mar 24th, 2008 | By webmaster | Category: Featured articlesI’ve written for several online magazines and content providers. Here’s one of the first rules they usually tell writers: Keep your paragraphs short.
Many sites insist that paragraphs must be three sentences or less. Those shorter paragraphs are easier to read online. They’re easier to skim for what’s important.
Write short paragraphs when you can.
Use bulleted lists when you can, to summarize the important points.
When you do, people will read more of what you write.
(This is a “do as I say, not as I do” post. I tend to write stream-of-consciousness and, only about a month later, edit it to be more readable.)
